Starting writing for publications this week, was an interesting transition from creative writing. It is definetly more work, then the simple layed back class of Mrs.Lanning, but I accept the challenge. This week, the 4 day week, was mostly focused on media and different types there are. For example, TV, radio, and billboards. The rest of the 2 to 3 days, was spent discussing columns. To what I understand, my blog will basically be a collection of columns. Which I am actually looking foward to, since it's a change of writing. From the descriptive and advanced creative writing, to the 8th grade level of writing and reporting on modern day issues. This blog is going to be an adventure of its own, since you can never go wrong with how you feel about an interesting news article. Thats the difference between Subjunctive writing and Objective writing. Subjunctive writing is basically false information, and is chalked full of my own personal opinion. But with objective writing, its all based on facts, and holds no opinion, since most of the article is quotes.
My blog will, this is a guess and I could possibly be wrong, subjunctive writing, with an occasional news report on a recent debate. I believe that this blog will be something that no one every really sees, but I will continue to write, not only for the class but also for my own personal growth as a writer. Who knows, this simple blog could turn into something big.
